Mearns Community Council can, in some instances, help community planning applications to get a 50% reduction on planning fees.

This would apply to projects where the whole community can access the proposed end product.

In the past groups such as Denlethen Woods, Auchenblae Parks Committee and Fettercairn Village Hall have used the Community Council to make applications.

If you wish to do this you MUST contact your representative who will advise members. Should members agree, the request will be minuted. Failure to seek permission from Mearns Community Council in advance of the application will result in the Community Council advising the planning department that they have no knowledge of the application therefore have not given support.

Should the CC support a project this will be for one application and any subsequent applications need to follow the process.
